Sai Savli Trust is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 2017 by dedicated social workers and community helpers under the guidance of Gauri Sawant. It is a people-driven, non-political development initiative committed to improving the lives of marginalized communities, with a special focus on the transgender community, young girls in need of care, and the elderly.
Recognizing the lack of local support and the social stigma faced by these communities, Sai Savli works towards breaking societal barriers and fostering inclusivity and empowerment. The organization actively addresses the limited opportunities and exclusion faced by transgender individuals and women in vulnerable situations, ensuring that no door remains closed for those in need. Unlike many social initiatives restricted by area or target groups, Sai Savli extends its support without limitations, reaching out to all who require assistance.
The trust runs several transformative projects, including:
AAJI CHA GHAR – A safe and nurturing home for elderly transgender individuals and young girls in Karjat, Raigad.
Swayam Sidha – An initiative empowering transgender individuals by promoting self-reliance and independence.
